CouchBeat privacy policy

Last change: November 2, 2026

CouchBeat is a beat-making app. This policy tells you what data the app sends, why, and to whom.

What the app does not collect

What the app sends

CouchBeat sends usage data to Amplitude (Amplitude, Inc., amplitude.com), an analytics service. We use it only to make the app better: to see which challenges are too hard, where players stop, and which features players find.

DataWhat it is
Product interactionWhat you do in the app: the sessions and their length, the challenges you start, clear or leave, your misses and hints, and on the first three levels of ADVENTURE, each tap and press.
Device IDA random number that the app makes at its first launch. It is not your name and not the advertising identifier. The app keeps it in the phone's Keychain, so the same number continues if you delete the app and install it again.
Coarse locationAmplitude finds your country and city from your network (IP) address and keeps them, with the address. The app itself does not read your location.
Device factsThe phone model, the iOS version, the app version, the phone's language, region and time zone.

The data is linked to the device ID. It is not linked to your name, and we do not sell it.

If the app stops with an error, CouchBeat sends a crash report to Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC, firebase.google.com). The report has the place in the code where the app stopped, the phone model, the iOS version, the app version and a random installation number from Crashlytics. It does not contain what you made in the app. We use it only to find and repair the error.

When the app sends it

The app sends the usage data when it goes to the background, not while you play. It sends a crash report the next time you open the app.
